Ecoference
Ecoference is an online exhibition by Kristen Layton, IMA candidate in Art Education at UofSC.
The effects of urbanization, deforestation, and consumerism on the environment and the continuous threats towards biodiversity are becoming irreversible. These depict the current state of struggle our world is facing. By visualizing the effects of what humans are willfully contributing to, the purpose of my work is to generate awareness, trigger emotions that produce a response, and address corporate accountability while challenging our own actions. Our resources are depleting, our animals are dying, and our world is toxic. This is a call for activism and a cry for help, understanding that one person alone cannot save the world.
