Registering for SVAD 499

OVERVIEW

Students must complete the Arts and Sciences Internship Contract and obtain signatures from the Instructor of the Internship course, the Director of SVAD, and their Advisor. The final step is to obtain the Dean's signature, which you can obtain by uploading the signed contract following the instructions below. After the Dean signs, it is then forwarded by the Dean's office to the Registrar's Office, and then the student will be cleared to register for the course. You still need to register for the class as usual once all the paperwork is finalized, so don't forget this step.

The Process:

  • Student Fills out the internship contract form. If you do not have it, contact your advisor.

    • Use the Internship Details provided on the second page here as a guideline to make sure you are including all the information you need.

  • Send the filled form to your advisor.

    • They will then send it to your instructor and the department chair after signing it themselves. You will be added to the email with further instructions.

  • Your advisor may have you do a few revisions if any information is missing. (Don't worry, that's completely okay.)

  • Send signed form to the Dean through the following link: go.sc.edu/CASforms

    • Click "I need a Form Signed" and upload the document to the portal it opens.

    • Form is signed by Dean's Office and forwarded to Registrar. This will then unlock the student's ability to register for the course within 2 weeks.

  • Register for the class.

    • You will receive more information from your professor when classes start.
